In Indonesian, kata sandi means password. Sandi is also the name of the person who started the company. pswd is the short form of the English word, and it lands on both.
The mark is <pswd />, a self-closing tag — the syntax a developer writes a hundred times a day. The name and the symbol are one object, which is why nothing is attached to it: no braces, no angle brackets, no cursor blinking beside it.
Naming it this way was deliberate: one short name, written the way code is written. The company is registered under the same name, as PT PSWD.
