02/OVERVIEW

The site behaves like an operating system: windows open, stack, and close over a dock. The obvious problem with that is that a crawler cannot open a window, and a link to one is worth nothing if it does not survive being pasted into a message.

So each window that holds content is also a route. Landing on the URL renders the page as static HTML first, then the shell opens the window over it. One address, readable both ways.

    A dock, stacking windows, and traffic lights, with the window state driven by the URL rather than by memory.

    Long-form content published from MDX, with sections, images, and reading state.

    Spotlight Search

    Full-text search across every window's content, running on the reader's side.

    Store

    A catalog, checkout, payment, and shipping behind the same shell as everything else.

    Push & PWA

    Installs to a home screen, and sends order updates as system notifications over VAPID.

    Analytics & Owner Tools

    Visitor statistics and owner-only windows for the parts that are not public.
